Coppelli Collection

Uber Coppelli born in Modena on 22 ottobre 1919.

He graduated from the Istituto d'Arte "A. Venturi "in 1937. Nel 1947 begins a series of study trips to Paris and later in Venice. The 13 ottobre 1952 Raffaella Bertani married and moved to Stiolo, the place to which it binds deeply. Between 1958 and the 1960 teaches at the "School of Nude" of the "Venturi" Institute. Nel 1979 Uber and Raffaella sell the house and move in Modena Stiolo: are difficult years for Uber who stopped painting. Nel 1984, Villa regained Bertani, gradually finds his serenity. He died in Modena on 5 July 2000. For his will is buried in the lawn of the small cemetery of Stiolo.

After the death of Uber, according to his will, his wife Raffaella gives the Municipality paintings and drawings of her husband from his personal collection, photographs of him at work, easels, paints and brushes, as well as numerous objects that are represented in still life, objects which are now part of the collection of the Museum of Agriculture and the Rural World.

Nel 2003 the paintings are a permanent placement in two rooms on the main floor of the Rocca Estense. Drawings, documents and photographs are kept in the Museum's Documentation Center.
