In this difficult school year, the Municipality of San Martino in Rio did not want to neglect extra-curricular educational activities aimed at children and young people. Among the various proposals, one in particular immediately aroused the interest of the Municipality, of the teachers and Iren, the exceptional partner who has been collaborating with the Municipality and the Museum for some years: Romana Medici's lessons on bees. The expert beekeeper spoke to girls and boys around the world about this wonderful insect: a perfect system, where everyone has a task and no one gives orders! Bees don't just produce honey, but they play an essential role in ecosystems and are fundamental for biodiversity and our future.

At the end of the interesting, educational and evocative lessons, girls and boys from the Edmondo De Amicis Primary School sowed the seeds of the plants and flowers that our bee friends like most, putting into practice the knowledge acquired and immersing oneself in nature.

This moment represented the outcome of the project, linked to World Earth Day, il 22 April.
