We find ourselves in front of a complex of folders overflowing with drawings. These that we find ourselves looking at are made of a simple rustic cardboard, still the color of leather folded in two. Above, instead of the label, there is a quick transversal writing made with a fat and black pencil: "Drawings". It would have been better if the different subjects had been clarified to us, instead in that folder chaos reigns. Designs from each period mixed together… here are the ones he did at the night school of the nude. They are designs where a model and a model alternated weekly as tradition dictated, they were in the center of the circle of pupils; but here it was not a matter of pupils, they were painters sculptors and amateur art lovers, to which the Adolfo Venturi Institute of Fine Arts in Modena, it provided a spacious environment, comfortable as heated, fully equipped with trestles or axes, to allow for the choice of a flesh-and-blood model instead of the usual "plasters" and a "responsible", i.e. an artist, that he didn't have to control what each of them did, but he intervened only if he was asked.
